    Love For Japan

    Love For Japan

    Dear friends,

March 11, 2011 is for sure one of the most shocking days for all Japanese and foreign people living here in Japan…… With the spirits of love and sharing, we firmly believe that all the tragedies resulted from this 9.0 magnitude earthquake will not stay silent, but roar out loud into promising energy to unit us together to rebuild our homelands.

During the past days, we learn more and more damages caused by the devastating earthquakes and the aftershocks from the media. Even so, we still find it very difficult to believe or accept what has actually happened to our peaceful lands. We see the people who have been deprived of their loved ones without warning were so shocked that they even forgot how to weep …. We don’t think we can really share their loss because it’s only those who have actually lost their loved ones can really know. However, we do think we can at least do something, no matter how small it is, to let them know that they are not alone, that we care for them, that we would love to help.

It is so true that we can see and feel the real human love the most during the most difficult times. Right after the earthquakes, we see the humanitarian aids from all over the world are rushing into Japan. Their deeds are encouraging and inspiring more and more Japanese people to take actions against these disasters.

Management of our company is organizing aids at corporate levels. The first phrase is the immediate material aids such as clothes and blankets to help the victims get through the long cold winter. The second phrase is the funds raising. The third phrase is producing charity goods to generate actual financial aids.

We know the world is sharing serious concerns for the Nuclear Power Plants in Fukushima Prefecture. We pray the almighty God will not let anything worse happen to those who have already suffered out of the earthquakes. Though we will have to leave these problems with the scientists to work out something to reduce the damages to the least, yet we can at lease start energy saving by switching off whatever electrical appliances which are not in use or working in the offices with the natural daylight from the windows. A little inconvenience in our daily life or a little good willed donation is absolutely nothing comparing to those victims who have been forced to witness the Tsunami sweep away their families and their homes without mercy.

On one hand, we also know the people in the world are watching closely on what’s happening to Japan and most of them would actually like to do something to help. For those who are able to take immediate action to help the 3.11 Earthquake and Tsunami victims in Japan, may we suggest you to contact your local Red Cross where is ready to coordinate with Japan Red Cross to allocate the aids in accordance with the actual needs. Like we have mentioned, we welcome and appreciate whatever you can offer!!!

    Sincerey yours,
    Phenix Co., Ltd.

Svindal takes 2 medals at World Championships.

Aksel Lund Svindal won the men's Super-combined and 3rd in Super-G at the 40th FIS alpine ski championship in Val d'Isere, France.
Svindal had good start to earn bronze in Super-G, men's 1st event, but frustrating Downhill race due to poor visibility caused by fog at the time of his start which he was hoping to defend downhill title at the 2007 World in Are, Sweden.
Svindal posted the fastest time in downhill leg and managed to reach the bottom of a super icy slalom course in which many favorites struggled to reach including Bode Miller and a host countries favorite Jean-baptiste Grange.
Svindal Notes: "It's been a long and amazing day, at medal-event like world championship, only a podium counts. In a way, it makes everything much easier as we have other choice than fully attack on the course, I could not rely on the my lead in the downhill. I tried as hard as I could."
Now he is back in FIS world cup circuit start from Sestriere, Italy, another intense battle for overall title.

Svindal pays back the Birds of Prey, Beaver Creek/Colorado USA.

Norway's Aksel Lund Svindal showed tremendous guts in rebounding from a horrific training crash here last year to win on the vaunted Birds of Prey downhill course.
Svindal, the 2006-07 overall World Cup winner, crashed going about 70 mph off the daunting Golden Eagle jump and suffered facial fractures and a deep cut in his buttocks and abdominal area that required surgery and knocked him out for the rest of last season.Coming out of the 13th position Friday, Svindal put down a near-flawless run on the demanding North America's most difficult downhill course, winning with a time of 1 minute, 43.85 seconds. Marco Buechel of Liechtenstein was second (1:43.91) and Erik Guay of Canada was third (1:44.20).
In addition, Svindal crowned a victory in Super-G and 3rd in GS, this consequtive 3 podiums put him back to the the overall World Cup points leader.
